Planned Building Openings for Thursday, Sept. 17

Based on expected outdoor and indoor air quality on Lab tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 17, the following buildings will be open at approximately 50% occupancy compared to baseline before the recent fires: 125, 126, 144, 150, 161, 179, 198, 230, 241, 249, 300, 302, 306. 318, 321 and 344. (Updated Sept. 16 at 9:03 p.m.: Cleanroom operations for all buildings except 344 remain suspended until further notice.)

Conditions may change rapidly. The Lab’s Safety team will assess air quality continually during current wildfire conditions. Any updates to the Lab’s status for tomorrow morning will be posted on this site by 8 a.m. A mid-day update is planned before 1 p.m., or as conditions warrant. Please check this site regularly.

If you are assigned to work in one of the open buildings, consult your project lead and supervisor on when and whether to come on Lab. The COVID Safety Facility Coordinator for your building will be responsible for cross-project coordination to maintain overall occupancy limits.

Buildings may close or open on short notice. To the extent possible, supervisors and project leads should be prepared for delays and disruptions in staffing.
